Our history
Carretillas Mayor S.A. (Cmayor) was founded on February 16, 1987 in Valladolid, Spain, with the to facilitate the unloading of trucks in the industrial parksoffering a service that until then was not available in the city of Valladolid: loading and unloading of materials with or without a driver.
In the early days, the company’s founder, Jos茅 Antonio Mart铆nez Su谩rez, played multiple roles to run a company in which he was the only employee. Over time, the company experienced significant growth, exceeding the figure of 300 employees and extending its services services to more than 50 cities around the world..
Over the years, the company has experienced a constant expansion in its various business areas, which has led to the creation of a Holding company. This Holding specializes mainly in the handling sector and in the field of automation and automation, achieving a high level of competitiveness. In its activities, the company is on a par with the large groups with which it competes, thus consolidating its position in the market.
In 2023, the multinational company GAM and Carretillas Mayor reach a merger agreement. With this agreement, both companies reinforce their position in the market as integral service providers to the industry. This acquisition represents a significant growth for both companies, bringing increased business and consolidation in Iberia.
Today, Carretillas Mayor has more than 220 professionals more than 220 professionalsmost of whom are specialized technicians, and with a fleet of machinery that machinery that amounts to some 6,000 units..
